Will you be my bridesmaid?

Will you be my bridesmaid?

I'm super excited to do my first wedding blog! When Kal popped the question I could not wait to start planning! I am going to try cover most of my wedding journey, but I will be leaving out the heartfelt proposal in this section, as that will be included in an upcoming blog within 'Our Story'.

When I became engaged, the first thing that I thought of was my girls! I am such a girls’ girl, so I instantly knew who I was having as my bridesmaids and why. I’d tell people that I wasn’t sure who to ask or that I wasn’t sure whether to even have bridesmaids at all … but this was all part of the plan that I'd set up! I had arranged a date for us all to meet at Bar & Grill in Leeds. I put in the message that I wanted all my girls together to celebrate my engagement for the night. I had cards made for each of them from 'Memories by Mel', with a little Instagram picture of us attached at the top. Each of the cards had meaningful words about our friendship, and 'Will you be my Bridesmaid?' written underneath.

Once everyone was sat down at the table I ran off to the toilet. I had previously given the cards to one of the waitresses to hide for me. I got the waitress to film the whole thing whilst I handed them out. Everyone was so excited when they got them and we were all so emotional!

Each one of my eight bridesmaids have played a key role in my life! Some I speak to daily, some I don’t. But even the ones I don’t speak to every day are the sort of friends that when we are together, it's like we have never been apart. Some of them I have worked with, whereas others are friends that I have made along the journey of life. Each and every one of them have made an impact on my life in one way or another. I have separate, special memories with each of them, that all tied together perfectly to contribute towards our Wedding Day.

I will add a link to all suppliers used in my blogs at the end, in case they come in useful for anyone. Please look out for my next wedding blog where I will be talking about what venues I looked at, and how we ended up choosing Caste Howard. I will also include setting THE date, save the date ideas and how my wedding plans began.
